Why "Nowhere Else"?

The name for the Cottage and Retreat was taken from Nowhere Else Creek. The creek originates at Delamere and our property includes the headlands of the creek. A Kilometre away down stream there is a spring where litres of water gush to the surface and flow into Nowhere Else creek which then continues to Rapid Bay meeting the Yattagolinga and flows out to sea.

We bought this property in 1981 and milked cows in the old dairy till 1988. The building was left derelict till we decided to diversify into the tourism business and after extensive renovations of our original stone dairy the Nowhere Else cottage was born and opened in november 1998.

The Retreat was built in 2005 and opened in november 2005.
